On the following Sunday Liverpool won 3:0 against Nottingham Forest at Anfield. The match had a 2:00 PM kick-off time. Goals from Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez gave Liverpool a comfortable half time lead. Mohamed Salah wrapped up the points in the second half becoming only the third man in the club’s history (after Harry Chambers in 1922 and John Aldridge in 1987) to score in each of the opening five home league matches of a season. Luis Diaz was omitted from the squad after news emerged that his parents had been kidnapped in Colombia.
