On the following Sunday Liverpool won 3:1 against defending champions Manchester City at Anfield. The match had a 4:30 PM kick-off time. Early goals from Fabinho Tavarez and Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool a half time lead which Sadio Mane extended early in the second half. Bernardo Silva scored for the visitors but the win continued Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the league season and left them 8 points ahead of second placed Leicester City going into the November break for International matches.
