The following Sunday Liverpool won 3:1 against Blackburn Rovers at Anfield. The match had a 1:30 PM kick off time. Steven Gerrard - in his 300th league match for Liverpool - opened the scoring after an hour and then set up Fernando Torres for his 30th goal of the season. Substitute Andriy Voronin scored the third in the last minute. There was still time for Roque Santa Cruz to score a consolation goal for the visitors. The result left Liverpool in 4th position in the Premier League on 66 points after 34 matches; 14 points behind leaders Manchester United.
