PIA Soccer Information. This magazine was available for free outside the stadium to anyone who took part in a competition that was being held.

Soccer Star. This magazine was not on sale at the stadium. Copies were available, for free, from stores in Tokoyo rather than the Yokohama city/venue.

Eight days later, on Monday the 26th of December, Liverpool won 2:0 against Newcastle United at Anfield. Both goals were scored in the first half by Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch. The Newcastle midfielder Lee Bowyer was sent off in the second half for a foul on Xabi Alonso. This was the 8th League match in a row that Liverpool did not concede a goal - a record they had last achieved in the 1922-23 season. The result left Liverpool in 3rd place in the Premier League table on 34 points after 16 matches; 15 points behind league leaders Chelsea who had played 2 matches more.
